About FOSSCamp
FOSSCamp is a free, open, accessible un-conference event that is designed to help get members from different Open Source projects together to discuss how to work together in different ways. It is not driven by any specific vendor or organisation (Canonical Ltd are sponsoring the event, but the event remains vendor neutral). All vendors, projects and contributors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
How it works
FOSSCamp is an un-conference. It is a conference with no pre-defined schedule - the attendees make up the schedule as the event happens. This helps create an event that open, flexible and not driven by a limited set of speakers. If you have a great idea for a session, you can run it at FOSSCamp.
This is how it works:
- At the beginning of the event there will be an introductory session to FOSSCamp in which the process is outlined.
- A number of timetable boards will be brought out and marker pens. Attendees can then go over and add sessions to the boards. Each of the sessions will be held in a different room.
- The sessions then kick off at 10am and everyone gets discussing.
Feel free to think of sessions you want to run before the event so you can go armed with a plan for your session(s).
